A phased membrane bioreactor (MBR) wastewater treatment system was designed with an initial treatment capacity of 180,000 US gallons per day (GPD), with provisions for future expansion to 300,000 GPD.

The system incorporates fine screening, equalization and mixing, transfer pumping, aeration, two MBR basins, permeate pumping, aeration blowers, chlorination, sludge holding, and alum dosing for enhanced phosphorus removal. Phase 1 includes six Toray NHP210-300S membrane cassettes, with Phase 2 adding four additional cassettes along with expanded aeration, pumping, blower, and chemical systems to achieve the full 300,000 GPD capacity.

A PLC-based control system with touchscreen interface provides centralized monitoring and control of the treatment process. The integrated system includes instrumentation, motor starters, and controls, with a 480-volt three-phase power system and dedicated power supply for controls and facility lighting.
